• актуализация ранее изученного материала;
• совершенствование лингво-страноведческих знаний и умений;
• развитие навыков монологической и диалогической речи;
• расширение кругозора, развитие произвольного внимания, стимулирование учащихся к изучению английского языка.

ХОД МЕРОПРИЯТИЯ

I. Приветствие, ознакомление с правилами викторины

– Good afternoon, dear friends! Today we have a special day. We’re going to take part in an involving competition, which is called “English Quiz”. We’ll see who knows more about England and its history. Are you ready to start?
Ok, you were divided in two teams. We will ask you some questions. The team that raises their hands faster is going to answer. If you are right, you’ll get one point, if – not, the other team can answer.
The winner will get a small surprise!
